Access to affordable finance is often the biggest problem facing SMEs looking to expand and grow their businesses. Business in Focus has been helping SMEs get started on a strong footing and grow their businesses for over 21 years, accessing millions of pounds of finance for our clients every year.

Many SMEs in Wales are in a fortunate position where grant funding and business support is still available for aspects of business start up and growth. Business in Focus has extensive experience of helping our client access sources of grant funding and support as well as sourcing suitable private finance from a wide network of sources.

With Business in Focus’ "No Win, No Fee" option for sourcing funding there will potentially be no outlay cost to you at all. Our Business Advisers will help you develop your business plan, identify potential sources of grant aid and private finance and complete

your applications, leaving you to do what you do best – run your business.

So, don’t let funding slow your business growth. If you have a business plan that demonstrates growth potential or if you need to develop your existing business plan to demonstrate this potential to providers of finance, then contact Business in Focus on 0870 950 90 90 and ask for one of their business advisers or visit, www.businessinfocus.co.uk

Useful Tips and advice

Lightage communications (1)LightAge Communications Ltd offers the first of our useful tips and advice.

I.T. Tip 1 - Test your back-up procedures:

Hopefully you already have some sort of back-up system in place. If not - consider what is at stake – what impact would it have on your business if you lost essential information such as your correspondence, your personal contacts or maybe your accounts and invoicing?

A full back-up will make a copy of your data such as word documents, spreadsheets and email, but also other software and settings. This may take several hours, which can be scheduled for overnight or at the weekend. Incremental backups only save any changes made since the last back-up was made and will therefore be quicker.

Whatever method you use: cd, dvd, zip drive, tape or an online service, check that the system is working correctly and that you would be able to restore your data should you need to so that if you lose your data it can be restored easily from your back-ups and your business will suffer minimum disruption.
