Mixing Business with Pleasure
Calling all Business Club members, Thursday 24th April marks the start of something new as RCT Business Club invites members to attend a free evening of networking at the Cross Keys Hotel, based in Nantgarw, from 5:30pm until 7:30pm.

The event is free of charge, and there is even a 10% discount on meals courtesy of Jo Cusak, Landlady at the Cross Keys Hotel, Nantgarw.

Tools of the trade
Networking events are a great way to make contacts and build relationships in the business world. However they can be daunting if you have never been to one before. RCT Business Club understands both the importance of networking and the apprehension involved in attending networking events, and are holding an exclusive "How to network effectively" event on Wednesday 30th April 2008 at Heritage Park Hotel at 7.45am for 8am.
This event aims to up skill professionals, help to build confidence in a networking environment and includes a special behavioural analysis tool, which will help you to understand what type of person you are, how you interact with people and vice versa.
As always, there will be plenty of time to network your business after the event with a mini speed networking session, where you can put some of your newly learned skills in to practice.

Broadband
When considering Broadband vendors, don’t just consider the price, consider the contention ratio
This is the maximum number of connected users that share your service.
ie) A 1 Mb service with a 50:1 contention ration means that you could be sharing that 1 Mb with up to 49 other businesses/locations in your street or area. For example, you may notice a reduction in broadband speed when all the children in your street come home and log on to the Internet!
A broad band contract small-print will probably say "up to" 1 Mb, 8 Mb etc., There is no guarantee that this speed is available to your address.
If you have broadband and are considering upgrading to a faster speed, you can check the speed to your current location by going to:
