South Wales Business Awards 2011

18 Apr 2011 It’s time for the South Wales Business Awards. It seems as if it was only a few weeks ago that we were celebrating the winners of 2010, on what was a great night for the South Wales Business Community.

This year’s awards are being held at the Bear Hotel in Cowbridge on Friday 16th September 2011 and will be hosted by one of Welsh television and radio’s most popular presenters - Sara Edwards.

Applications

Applications for the awards will be accepted from Monday 18th April 2011. Closing date for applications is Friday 24th June 2011, with nominations being announced on Monday 11th July 2011.

Nominations will be posted on this blog http://www.southwalesbusinessawards.co.uk/blog at 9am on the 11th July, as well as nominees being notified by e-mail.

The categories for 2011 are:

  • Young Entrepreneur of the year
  • Best New Start-up
  • Retail Business of the year
  • Female Entrepreneur of the year
  • Social Enterprise of the year
  • Business Services Business of the year
  • Technological & Innovative Business of the year
  • Contribution to South Wales Business (Honorary Award)
  • South Wales Business of the year 2011 (Drawn from winners of each category)

Prizes

There is also an opportunity to win some superb prizes courtesy of WS Marketing, and The Centre for Enterprise, University of Glamorgan. Each category winner will receive a certificate, bottle of wine and half a day of support from WS Marketing. The winner of the South Wales Business Awards 2011 will also receive a full business review from a Centre for Enterprise, University of Glamorgan academic (valued at over £1,000).
