Do you stand out in a crowd

Firms of all sizes, specialities and backgrounds are being invited to put themselves forward for a county-wide celebration of business achievements.

Rhondda Cynon Taf’s Business Club is once again inviting nominations for its annual Gala Awards ceremony, which takes place early next year.

The aim of the event is to share, recognise and celebrate the successes of as wide a range of businesses as possible.

Open to all small and medium-sized enterprises across Rhondda Cynon Taf, the competition has the following categories:

  • Rhondda Cynon Taf Business of the Year
  • Bilingual Business of the Year, in association with the Welsh Language Board
  • Environmental Business of the Year, in association with British Telecom Plc
  • Innovative Company of the Year, in association with Lloyds Bank Plc
  • Excellence in Marketing, in association with the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
  • People Development Company of the Year, in association with Groundwork
  • Business Start-Up of the Year, in association with Venture Wales
  • International Business of the Year, in association with L’Oreal

Cllr Paul Cannon, Cabinet member for Economic Development and Housing, said: "This is the third year we have celebrated the Business Club Gala Awards and we are pleased they are growing in popularity and variety.

"We welcome nominations from all kinds of businesses and look forward to seeing as many as possible put themselves forward for these important Awards.

"This is a high profile event , and it is prestigious but, most of all, it is about recognising and sharing good work and giving our businesses a boost and raising the profile of what this county has to offer!"

The ceremony itself will take place on Friday, March 6 at the Heritage Park Hotel during an exceptional evening that will include 3-course meal and entertainment

Closing date for entries is 19th December 2008
