Make a date with success
8 Jan 2009Businesses across the county still have time to make a date with success and innovation at the third annual Gala Awards and Dinner evening.
Rhondda Cynon Taf’s Business Club is busy with preparations for the event, which goes from strength to strength each year and is open to small and medium-sized enterprises from across the county.
The closing date for entries is not until January 30, so companies have time to nominate themselves for one of the various categories this year, including:
- Rhondda Cynon Taf Business of the Year
- Bilingual Business of the Year, in association with the Welsh Language Board
- Environmental Business of the Year, in association with British Telecom Plc
- Innovative Company of the Year, in association with Lloyds Bank Plc
- Excellence in Marketing, in association with the Chartered Institute of Marketing
- People Development Company of the Year, in association with Groundwork
- Business Start-Up of the Year, in association with Venture Wales
- International Business of the Year, in association with L’Oreal
Cllr Paul Cannon, Cabinet member for Economic Development and Housing, said: "Now, more than ever, we need to be celebrating, holding up and sharing in the success and innovation of the county’s firms.
"We know there is real excellence in business taking place out there and that is why we stage the annual awards, so we can mark that success and also ensure others can learn and benefit from it also.
"The Business Club’s main aim is to deliver what businesses want, in terms of networking with others, sharing best practice and learning the tricks of the trade from each other and experts so they can grow and thrive together.
"This high-profile, prestigious event is a highlight of the Business Club’s calendar, but is one of many opportunities throughout the year for companies of all sizes and backgrounds to benefit from advice, support and expertise.
"I urge businesses to submit their nominations for the awards and also to perhaps make a resolution for 2009 to find out more about the Business Club, and how it can benefit them."
The Business Club Gala Awards and Dinner takes place on March 6 at the Rhondda Heritage Park Hotel during an exceptional evening that will include a three-course meal and entertainment
Closing date for entries is 30 January. For more information on how to submit an entry, contact 01443 424109 or visit www.rctbusinessclub.co.uk
